Cherry Blossoms and Kites - Wander With Me!

Spring is in the air (or at least was last week) and the annual Cherry Blossom Festival is kicking off this weekend. Saturday also happens to be the Smithsonian Kite Festival. If the weather cooperates, this makes for an excellent afternoon of wandering around with friends, taking pictures, and, perhaps, poking some fun at the tourists.

I'd like to get a bunch of friends together to enjoy the afternoon with.

We can meet up at the FDR Memorial (right near the Washington Monument) around 12:30 p.m. If you can't make that, be sure to have my cell number or Twitter account on hand to catch up with us later.

I expect people to come and go, that's usually how it works. Things may segue into dinner in the evening.

Anyone who's interested should also check out Spellbound Saturday night--they're doing a Mad Max theme (so duck away for a little while to change into your best Post Apocalyptic attire, if you've got it).

The invite here is open to everyone. Feel free to spread it out among your various circles of friends--I probably know some of them (or would like to).

You Are Invited to Attend...

So my buddy Jasen is getting married to the lovely Michelle today.

They've asked me to conduct the ceremony.

They've also decided to have a little fun with this and are having a public ceremony on the steps of the Supreme Court.

Even better? You're invited.

That's right. All of you.

Here are the details, right from Jasen.

And, if all goes as planned, you'll be able to watch this live streamed onto the internet via my Droid. That can be watched over at UStream on the channel I've set up there.

Things start at 5:23 pm, DC time. Be there and enjoy it. :)
